Silent Read - personal novels 20 min.

*Please remind students - 20 question multiple choice grammar quiz is on Thursday - Oct 24 2024 - Teams - study your grammar booklets if you would like to study - TTOC - please hand these back to students - they are on the desk to return to students.

Lesson - Writing for Purpose & Audience Writing - Please hand out to each Student: Purpose and Audience Writing Powerpoint Notes - total 2 pages double sided of 12 slides of notes. 

Students will fill in the blanks while you teach the lesson via the completed teacher version of the powerpoint as linked below. These are located on the teacher desk prepped and ready for you.

TTOC - Please Go through full teacher version of the power point with the students (projected onto the white board) - Have students take notes on their powerpoint hand outs - student copies on the teacher desk for you. Labelled. Grade 8 Monday Oct 21 handouts.

Task: regarding the last slide - sample paragraph - students to add what is missing from the sample paragraph to their copies in the notes area of the page. 10 min. 

After - review with the class correct updates to the paragraph. Options may vary from student to student. 

If Time: In prep for student task for Tuesday Oct 22 2024: Group Paragraph Development. On - Revelstoke Adventure Park. Library Orientation, Text Book Sign Out, Novel Sign Out, Personal Reading Sign Out
