*Please remind students - 20 question multiple choice grammar quiz is on Thursday - Oct 24 2024 - Teams - study your grammar booklets if you would like to study - TTOC - please hand these back to students - they are on the desk to return to students if they were not handed back by the TTOC Oct 21 2024.

Students - Silent Personal Read 20 min

Yesterday - students were provided with a full lesson and notes regarding 'Writing for Purpose and Audience.' 

Student’s yesterday only got to slide 10 of 12 please complete the last two slides. Link to the PowerPoint above. Students have a copy of Student notes to fill in the blanks regarding all slides. Again, they have gotten to slide 10 of 12.

Task: regarding the last slide - sample paragraph - students to add what is missing from the sample paragraph to their copies in the notes area of the page. 10 min. 

After - review with the class correct updates to the paragraph. Options may vary from student to student. 

They should have also reviewed the below article - please ensure that students did indeed complete this task with the prior TTOC from Monday. I do not believe the TTOC yesterday had time.

Library Orientation, Text Book Sign Out, Novel Sign Out, Personal Reading Sign Out

Attendance lists - in the brown binder - left hand side drawer of teacher desk. Task - Library Orientation with Mr. Wilson. Text Book Sign Out (Sightlines 8) Novel Sign Out (Outsiders), Personal Reading Novel Sign Out. Students to take 30 min or so to review library options and select a personal novel!  Personal Reading Time of Personal Novels selected.  Please hand out to each student a large post it- with lines - please let them know to add any new or different or difficult new vocab words from their novel to the post it - plus the page number they found it on.
