Tension - Mental or emotional strain; the feeling of stress or pressure.
Grief - Intense sorrow, especially caused by loss.
Sorrow - A feeling of deep sadness or regret.
Mourn - To express sorrow or grief, typically after a loss.

Definition: 

Sentence: Despite the challenges, Ponyboy felt a sense of victory after his conversation with Johnny in the hospital.

2. Riding

Definition: 

Sentence: The boys were riding in the rumble, determined to stand up for themselves.

3.Leaning

Definition:

Sentence: Ponyboy was leaning against the wall, exhausted and lost in his thoughts.

4. Bleak

Definition: 

Sentence: The future seemed bleak to Ponyboy, who had just lost his closest friends.
